After fabrication and testing the exterior of the tank was washed and degreased to remove all the oil from the manufacturing process. Three coats of a two part epoxy coal tar paint was then applied.
Tank was installed with new fittings and tubing
fill and vent hoses were replaced with new. Tabs at all four corners were welded to tank to secure tank to stringers.
The old 260 gallon fiberglass fuel tank was removed and replaced with a new 300 gallon
aluminum tank. Tank was constructed of 1/4 inch high grade aluminum.
